Fury’s Senior Women’s local league team got a win on the road on Wednesday night when they visited Dunfermline Reign. Fury started slowly in the first quarter, but had a strong second, going into half time with a double digit lead. It was a similar picture in the second half, with Dunfermline’s young team fighting back with some good shooting. However, Fury saw the game out with Rebecca Lonsdale and Jen MacPherson leading the scoring with 16 points and 11 points respectively. Victoria Gray and Emma Paterson worked tirelessly at both ends of the floor and combined for 15 points. Point Guard Kayleigh McMahon had an excellent performance, controlling the game in offence and often setting the intensity in defence. Fury will look to build on this result in the lead up to their next game at the end of the month.
