Scottish U16 Woman National Development Play-Off Final
The Central side took the Play-Off title after a hard fought Final against Dunfermline Reign. The joint Knights Fury side led by a single point at the half after a low scoring first half, that saw the scoreline 16-15 in KFC’s favour. The third period was equally low scoring with KFC edging it 9-5 for a 5pt lead going into the final stanza. The final quarter, saw both teams then proceed to up their scoring as they scored almost as many in the final period as they had in the previous three quarters. KFC edged that period 21-17 for a 9 pt win and the Trophy. Top scorer for the Central team was Jess Cowan with 11, Olivia Mitchell had 9, with Abby Reid on 7. All players in the team scored and for Coach Jenna Beattie and Assistant Rebecca Lonsdale the silverware is a just reward for a lot of hard work in the regular season games and training sessions.
